Tom Bonnell Achievements as an Educator
For nearly thirty years, Tom Bonnell has been shaping young minds and advancing education in different schools. Mr Bonnell has devoted nearly most of his life to making sure that his students get the best education possible and are provided with the best environment that is most conducive to learning. Tom has taken on various roles at different educational institutions throughout his career and has had an impact on all the schools he has worked in.
As the Head of School at Savannah Country Day School, Tom Bonnell developed a collaborative faculty culture focusing on curricular coordination and research-based best practice. Mr Bonnell also served as Associate Head at The Dalton School where he developed a system that established regular curricular reviews of department by outside teams and implemented a veteran faculty evaluation system.
Tom Bonnell has amassed a number of awards and distinctions throughout his long career in education. Tom was awarded the Dalton PTA Community Spirit Award in 2003. Tom was also given the Texas Excellence Award in Teaching in 1989. During his term at Episcopal High School, Mr Bonnell was given the Master Teacher Award in 1986 and the Outstanding Teacher Award in 1985.
