Pastor Geronimo Aguilar: Helping People on the Streets
Pastor Geronimo Aguilar founded the Richmond Outreach Center as a place where various church groups could come together and complete some inner-city mission work for the city’s most impoverished residents. The ROC targets individuals who live in public housing projects, constantly transfer from one motel to another, and live in dilapidated houses.
The ROC has more than one hundred ministries that are all free. And all of these ministries work well in working with the aforementioned individuals.
Moreover, Pastor Geronimo Aguilar, more popularly known as Pastor G, states that the ROC’s primary mission is winning souls for Christ. He says that the ROC is basically an independent, non-denominational and a soul-winning church.
Pastor Geronimo Aguilar has scheduled church services every Saturday night and also hosts a service for kids every Saturdays every before six o’clock in the evening. The youth programs of the Richmond Outreach Center work with the real youth of Richmond every day of the week. In fact, Pastor Geronimo Aguilar has rented around twenty school buses to patrol the city, just to let the children known that they do not have to live in the dirty, tight streets forever and that God has a better plan for them.
